Space Analysis & Planning, Swing Planning, and FPP Services San Mateo County CCD
Suniya 360 recently conducted a detailed Space Utilization analysis, with recommendations, for all three instructional campuses, which informed the 2022 Districtwide Facilities Master Plan developed by others. S360 also updated the District FPPs, and is currently working with Can̂ada College on Space Planning.
In fact Suniya has provided multiple services to SMCCCD in the last decade (the last two with S360). These include: multiple Space Analyses & Space Planning studies to identify best locations for programmatic needs at all campuses; detailed Swing Implementation Planning for two state funded renovations on two campuses; Secondary Effects programming for vacated spaces from Bond projects at all campuses; numerous FPPs for all campuses; numerous Space Utilization studies; and a major Districtwide Space Inventory Update.
Suniya met periodically with the College Cabinets to identify the needs and vet the solutions for the Space and Swing Planning efforts. She assisted College of San Mateo in identifying how Building 19 could be modernized in lieu of being rebuilt when funding proved short. When Skyline B2 and Caňada College B13 FPPs got State funding, Suniya used her space analysis findings to identify existing spaces on campus that could be used for swing in lieu of adding temporary space, thereby maximizing campus utilization and minimizing swing costs. She also developed a step by step Implementation Plan to help guide these swing relocations.
